Michael Yates

Michael Yates has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Michael currently holds the role of Chief Technology Officer at NEXUSsoft Pty Ltd since May 2022. In this position, they provide technical leadership and guidance to the software development team. Prior to this, Michael worked at Techniworks Action Learning Pty Ltd from 2005 to 2016. During their time there, they served as the Manager of Information Technology and Security Projects. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining and developing the Techniworks Learning Management System (LMS) and overseeing the design and implementation of custom systems for clients in both the private and public sectors. Overall, Michael has a strong background in software development, project management, and technical leadership.

Michael Yates earned a Bachelor of Information Technology degree with a major in Software Information Systems from The University of Queensland. Michael attended this institution from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, they furthered their education by completing a Master of Information Studies degree in the field of Computer Communication at the University of Canberra. This program was undertaken from 2008 to 2010.
