David Steck has worked in the software engineering field since 2003. Theircareer began with a role as a Wiring Connector Design at The Boeing Company. In 2004, they transitioned to an Embedded Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin. In 2011, they became a Senior Software Engineer at QinetiQ North America. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Software Engineer at Takata and as a Contractor at Automap Ltd. David then returned to Automap Ltd. as a Software Engineer from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, David Steck has been employed as a Robotics Software Engineer at Neya Systems, LLC since 2018.

David Steck received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1995 and 1999. David then went on to Carnegie Mellon University, where they earned their Master of Science in Robotics in 2002.
