Based out of the southernmost state of India- Kerala, Neytt, orchestrated by Sivan Santhosh and Nimisha Srinivas, is a recent phenomenon. However, it is backed by a rich heritage of carpeting that began more than a century ago with his grandfather. In 1917, K. Velayudhan set up the Travancore Mats and Matting company, which grew into a massive venture exporting niche rugs and carpets all over the world. When the millennium hit, Velayudhan Santosh founded Extraweave Pvt Ltd. It has enjoyed two decades of carpeting history and has carved a niche place for itself in the market. Neytt, our latest brainchild, is a high-fashion luxury brand that crafts bespoke rugs and carpets. Not only does the venture work with custom sizes, shapes, designs, and borders but also goes above and beyond, experimenting with exotic materials like sisal, seagrass, water hyacinth, lyocell, bamboo silk, linen, and recycled PET. By collaborating with avant-garde artists from across the world, Neytt is looking to revolutionize the way interior designers approach luxury floor and wall coverings.
