Hannah Barman

Hannah Barman, PhD, has a diverse work experience. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Biomedical Research at nference since July 2023. Prior to this role, they served as Head of Biomedical Research at the same company starting in February 2022. Before that, they were the Head of Product Management from July 2021 to February 2022, and they served as the Lead of Scientific Partnerships from November 2020 to July 2021.

In terms of education, Hannah was a Doctoral Student at Harvard University from August 2015 to November 2020. Hannah also gained experience as a Consultant at MPM Capital from June 2019 to January 2020, and as a Graduate Fellow at RA Capital Management, L.P. from December 2018 to June 2019.

In their early career, Hannah worked as a Research Assistant at Boston University from June 2013 to July 2015, where they focused on analyzing cortical EEG data to understand auditory attentional capabilities and neural coding. Hannah also worked as a Research Fellow at the Museum of Science, Boston from September 2013 to August 2014, conducting scientific experiments as part of a grant. Additionally, they served as a Neuroscience Supplemental Instructor at Wellesley College from September 2012 to June 2013, where they conducted tutoring sessions and taught various neuroscience topics. Prior to that, they gained research experience as a Research Intern at Massachusetts General Hospital from June 2012 to September 2012, working on a project examining language degeneration in patients with mild cognitive impairments.

Hannah Barman, PhD pursued their education in the field of neuroscience. Hannah completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at Wellesley College from 2009 to 2013. During their undergraduate years, they also studied at Dartmouth College for a brief period in 2011-2012. Later, they went on to earn their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroengineering from Harvard University in the SHBT program from 2015 to 2020.
