Jason McWilliams

Athletic Training Spotter

Jason McWilliams is an experienced athletic trainer with a diverse background in sports medicine. Currently serving as the Big XII Athletic Conference Football Medical Observer since August 2024, McWilliams also supervises athletic trainers for the Cherry Creek School District at UCHealth. His extensive experience includes working as an Athletic Training Spotter for the NFL, where Jason focuses on player health and safety, and as a Clinical Athletic Trainer for the Colorado Rockies, handling athlete rehabilitation. In addition, McWilliams has contributed to the Medicine in Motion staff pool, participated in major athletic events such as the X Games, and held leadership roles in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Trainers' Association and the Colorado Athletic Trainers' Association, focusing on educational development and event management. McWilliams holds a Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University.
