Committee Member, Head, Neck & Spine Committee

Margot Putukian serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Major League Soccer since November 2018 and has extensive experience in sports medicine. Margot is involved with the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine as the Past-President of the Foundation Board, and has been a team physician for US Soccer since 1994. As a member of the National Football League's Head, Neck & Spine Committee since May 2010, Margot contributes to important health initiatives in professional sports. Previously, Margot directed athletic medicine at Princeton University from January 2004 to March 2021, and served as team physician for US Lacrosse from 2010 to 2018. Margot's leadership roles also include serving on the Board of Directors for the American College of Sports Medicine from 2008 to June 2010. Margot earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Yale University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University School of Medicine.
