Walther van Mook

Walther van Mook has extensive experience in the field of intensive care medicine and medical education. Since 2012, Walther has been affiliated with the Nederlandse Transplantatie Stichting in multiple roles including member of various steering committees and coordinating intensivist for organ donation affairs. In addition to this, Walther serves on several committees at the Artsenfederatie KNMG, NFU, and Federatie Medisch Specialisten, and has been involved with azM/Maastricht UMC+ since 2002, holding significant leadership positions such as Director of the Academy for Postgraduate Medical Training and Vice-chair of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine. Furthermore, Walther is a full professor at Universiteit Maastricht, contributing to medical education and professional development across various committees. Educational credentials include a PhD in Professionalism and professional behaviour from Maastricht University and multiple leadership programs at Avicenna Academy.
