Graham Gilbert

Senior Geoscientist

Graham Gilbert is a Senior Geoscientist in the Natural Hazards Division at NGI - Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, where they coordinate research activities and develop initiatives related to climate change and natural hazards. With 22 months of experience in Arctic research environments, they have worked extensively in the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, and Svalbard. Graham holds a Master’s degree in Geosciences from the University of Oslo and a PhD in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Bergen. They also served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at The University Centre in Svalbard, focusing on climate change impacts and geohazards. Fluent in English with functional knowledge of Norwegian and foundational French, Graham is dedicated to advancing research and practical solutions in their field.
