Luca Piciullo

Luca Piciullo is a highly experienced senior researcher and project engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since October 2018, focusing on risk assessment and management within the REMEDY project aimed at reducing groundwork damage. Prior to this role, Luca served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca, engaging in risk analysis of landslides, and at Università degli Studi di Salerno, with a focus on landslide risk management systems. Additional experience includes a visiting researcher position at NGI, involvement in climate risk projects, and teaching environmental geotechnics in Cameroon. Luca holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Salerno and has collaborated with various international agencies on landslide warning systems and risk management.
