Evan DeLancey is an accomplished Earth Observation Scientist at NGIS since February 2022, specializing in sustainable supply chains and EUDR compliance for coffee, cocoa, timber, and palm, alongside large-scale forest carbon and above-ground biomass predictions for agroforestry and tropical forests. Prior experience includes serving as Spatial Data Science Coordinator at the Alberta Biodiversity Monitoring Institute from August 2016 to February 2022, where leadership was provided in the development of the ALPHA system for landcover mapping, and as a Spatial Data Analyst at Natural Resources Canada from January 2015 to August 2016, contributing to wildfire spatial modeling. Additional roles encompass Data Analyst at Ember Research Services Ltd., Teaching Assistant in GIS at the University of Alberta, and instructional positions at Saville Sports Center and Garneau Tennis & Beach Volleyball Club. Educationally, Evan holds a Master of Science in Remote Sensing and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Earth Science, both from the University of Alberta.
