Juan Torres-Batlló

Juan Torres-Batlló, PhD, is a Data Scientist at NGIS since September 2020, providing technical support and capacity building for the GEO-GEE Programme's projects. Previously, Juan served as Lead Data Scientist at EYECON GROUP, where the SOILRISK model for landslide prediction in the Azores was developed, funded by ESA. Juan's academic background includes a PhD in Earth Observation and GIS from the University of Surrey, alongside a Master's in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Experience spans various roles in remote sensing, GIS analysis, and data processing, including teaching at the University of Surrey and working with UAV data at the Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia.
