Shelly Guyer

Ms. Guyer has served as a member of our Board of Directors since December 2019. She leads Invitae’s sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts, a newly created position to focus on coordinating and driving Invitae’s leadership in the ESG space. Ms. Guyer has over a decade of experience building and leading strong financial functions as a senior executive in life sciences, as well as domain expertise from years as a banker, venture capitalist and environmentalist. Prior to this role, Ms. Guyer served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Invitae from June 2017 to June 2021. Before coming to Invitae, Ms. Guyer served as CFO at Veracyte, Inc., and as CFO and Executive Vice President of finance and administration at iRhythm Technologies, Inc. She began her business career at Hambrecht & Quist and later J.P. Morgan Securities, where she held various positions, including vice president in the H&Q Environmental Technology Fund. Ms. Guyer holds an AB from Princeton University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
