Sarah Cartwright

Sarah Cartwright has a diverse and extensive work experience, spanning various roles in software engineering and leadership. Sarah started their career at OPNET Technologies, Inc. in 1997, where they served as Associate Vice President, Global Technical Support, providing support for network and application performance prediction products. Sarah then worked as a Developer at HBGary, Inc. from 2006 to 2007, designing and implementing software for reverse engineering tasks. Sarah then joined GridPoint, Inc. in 2007, specializing in SmartGrid development and leading the development of electrical utility demand response applications. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Endgame, Inc., focusing on IT security tool development. In 2014, they briefly served as an Activist for the Reeb Project for Voting Rights, managing data and coordination for voter access. Sarah then worked at Nextility as a Senior Software Engineer in 2015, contributing to web portals and automated components for internal customers. In the same year, they held Senior Software Team Lead positions at EveryAction and Bonterra. Since 2015, Sarah has been with NGP VAN, where they initially served as a Senior Software Engineer, then as a Software Team Lead, and currently as a Senior Software Team Lead. At NGP VAN, they lead and manages teams of developers, QA, and occasional interns, specializing in political fundraising and compliance CRM development.

Sarah Cartwright obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics from Western Michigan University between 1993 and 1997. Sarah also minored in Computer Science and Women's Studies during their time at the university. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including "Fair and Effective Interviewing for Diversity and Inclusion," "Getting Things Done," and "Answering Tough Questions As A Leader" from LinkedIn in 2022.
