Somara Atkinson

Somara Atkinson has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Somara has been working at NGP VAN since 2015, starting as a QA Analyst and progressing to roles such as QA Engineer, Senior QA Engineer, Quality Assurance Architect, and currently serving as the Quality Assurance Team Lead. Their responsibilities at NGP VAN include defining automation code standards, promoting efficient test automation tools, developing and expanding automated tests and infrastructure, providing feedback to development teams, and supporting product development testing efforts.

Prior to NGP VAN, Somara worked at Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a CSA Loader, assisting customers with their shopping needs and supporting various functions.

Somara has also worked as a Freelance Level Designer, creating designs for different projects. In addition, they have gained experience as a Level Design Intern at Creat Studios, where they designed and tested game levels and assisted with game mechanics.

Furthermore, Somara has worked at Rochester Institute of Technology as a Lab Assistant, monitoring the Game Design and Development Open Lab, and as a Teacher's Assistant. Somara also held a role as an Educational Games Researcher during their time at the institute.

Lastly, they had an internship experience as a QA Intern at Hi-Rez Studios, where they conducted daily testing of game builds and documented defects and usability issues.
