Sahra Nguyen has held a variety of roles in the media and technology industries. In 2008, they began their career as the Director of Literacy Through The Arts and Video Production Manager at Artists For Humanity. In 2010, they became the Director of the Writing Success Program at University of California, Los Angeles. In 2013, they became a Creative Content Producer at Wooster Collective. From 2014 to 2016, they worked at The Huffington Post as a Contributor, NBC News as a Digital Correspondent and Video Producer, and VICE Media as a Host. In 2017, they moved to Google as a Next Gen Tech Policy Leader. In 2018, they founded and became the CEO of Nguyen Coffee Supply, a Direct-To-Consumer premium Vietnamese coffee company.
Sahra Nguyen received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in World Arts & Cultures: Creative Writing & Performance; Asian American Studies; and a Film Minor from the University of California, Los Angeles. Sahra also earned an Ethnic Studies degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with a focus on Asian Americans Mental Health and Suicide Rates.
