Thyra de Groot

Thyra de Groot is a skilled media professional with extensive experience in journalism, theater production, and education. Currently serving as a Redacteur at NH Media since March 2020, Thyra writes and reviews various articles, and previously worked as a Verslaggever for Zaanstreek-Waterland, producing and editing reports. Thyra has also contributed creatively as a Creator for Blik op Theater, aimed at showcasing the magic of theater to youth. Experience as a productieleider with Zaans Zilver on Tour involved organizing musical performances in care homes. Additional roles include theater-making for primary school productions and various positions at Zaantheater, where Thyra gained valuable production and stage assistance experience. As an Ambassadeur for Stichting Pink Ribbon, Thyra initiated activities to support women impacted by breast cancer. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Information, and Communication from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a degree in Theater Making from Nova College.
