Scott Perl

Scott Perl, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of Planetary Science at AstroForge and holds positions as a Scientist in Geobiology and Astrobiology at UCLA, a Visiting Professor at Caltech, and a Research Scientist at the Blue Marble Space Institute of Science. With a background that includes a Research Affiliate role at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and a significant tenure at Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Research Scientist and Investigation Scientist for various Mars missions, Scott Perl has extensive experience in astrobiology and planetary sciences. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Geological Sciences and Geobiology from the University of Southern California, a Master’s in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Geology and Engineering Science from Stony Brook University.
