Antony Tiernan

Antony Tiernan currently serves as the Director of Communications and Engagement at NHS Blood and Transplant since September 2024. Concurrently, Antony holds the position of Trustee at NHS Charities Together. Previously, Antony worked as the Assistant Director of Communications (interim) at London Fire Brigade and spent four years as the Director of Communications and Engagement at London Ambulance Service NHS Trust. Antony undertook a secondment at NHS England as the Director of Communications for NHS75 and led communications for NHS70 during a prior tenure at NHS England. Experience also includes roles as Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, as well as Deputy Director of Communications at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Antony was also a member of the Executive Committee for the Association for Healthcare Communications and Marketing in a voluntary capacity.
