Senior Practitioner Clinical Physicist at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Emma Doran has a diverse background in biomedical imaging and medical physics. Emma started their career as a Radiographic Assistant at the NHS before transitioning into roles as a Customer Assistant at Tesco PLC and Boots UK. Emma then pursued their education, completing a PhD in biomedical imaging at the University of Oxford and transitioning to a PhD student role at the University of Nottingham. Emma also gained experience as a Clinical Physicist at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Currently, Emma is a Trainee Clinical Scientist in Medical Physics, focusing on developing abdominal magnetic resonance imaging at ultra-high field at the University of Nottingham. Prior to this, Emma was a visiting PhD student at the University of Glasgow.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is the UK’s largest provider of NHS health care services. It serves an immediate population of 1.2 million plus provides specialist regional services to more than half of Scotland’s population.
