Tom Power currently serves as the Director of People & Culture at NHS Lothian, since March 2025, focusing on HR strategy and workforce development. Previously, Tom held the Director of People & Culture position at NHS Grampian from February 2013 to March 2025, where Tom was an executive team and board member leading a directorate of over 300 staff and supporting more than 17,000 colleagues. Tom’s extensive experience includes roles as Associate Director for Workforce Development and Organisational & Leadership Development, where Tom contributed to strategic leadership and system transformation in healthcare. Additionally, Tom worked at NHS Education for Scotland in similar leadership roles and began a career at the University of London in various recruitment and management positions within medical workforce. Tom holds an MA in Human Resource Management from Newcastle University and a Master of Laws in Employment Law from Middlesex University.
