Catherine Hedges is a highly experienced optometrist currently serving as the Advanced Optometrist for Quality and Patient Safety and Senior Commissioning Manager for Dental, Optometry, and Pharmacy at NHS Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care Board since February 2022. Prior to this role, Catherine managed a myopia clinic at Wade’s of Ely from October 2017 to February 2022, and worked as a Hospital Optometrist alongside Orthoptists and Ophthalmologists at Addenbrooke’s Hospital from June 2014 to October 2017, where a new extended role clinic was initiated. Additionally, Catherine contributed to research and supervised Optometry students at Anglia Ruskin University during the same period. Catherine's professional journey also includes extensive experience as a locum optometrist in various practices across Suffolk, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire from September 2003 to June 2014. Catherine holds a degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences from Cardiff University, obtained between 1999 and 2002.
