Aamer Sarfraz

Aamer Sarfraz currently serves as a Trustee at Kenward Trust, which is known for its alcohol and drug rehabilitation services. Since January 2021, Aamer has held the position of Visiting Professor of Psychiatry at Canterbury Christ Church University and continues to work as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the NHS since July 2007. Aamer previously worked as a Medical Director at East London, where responsibilities included addressing challenges in a service under CQC special measures, while also serving as a Consultant Psychiatrist for a PICU & RC for a learning disability ward. Prior experience includes roles as Associate Medical Director and Director of Medical Education at KMPT from April 2012 to July 2021. Aamer earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychiatry from King's College London.
