Sonya Wallbank

Sonya Wallbank is a Leadership and OD Consultant at The King's Fund since September 2021, specializing in people leadership and organization development. Previously, Sonya served as Chief People Officer for the NHS from November 2021 to March 2023, focusing on integrated care systems. Sonya's prior roles include Director of HR & OD at the Department of Health and Social Care, where leadership of people and OD strategies for PPE and Vaccine programmes occurred, and Head of Culture Transformation at NHS England during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additional experience includes consulting at The Arden Centre and positions as Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, and Director of HR for Children and Families within the NHS. Educational credentials include a BSc(hons) in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Leicester.
