Tariq Aslam

Tariq Aslam is a distinguished academic and medical professional currently serving as a Professor of Ophthalmology and Interface Technologies at The University of Manchester since August 2013, where Tariq also leads the IOVS MSc Retina course. In addition, Tariq holds the position of Consultant Ophthalmologist at NHS and has been the Editor in Chief for Ophthalmology and Therapy since January 2018. Tariq is the Director at Clin-e-cal Ltd since January 2016 and has been involved with GiveVision as Director of Clinical Research since March 2021. Tariq’s educational background includes multiple degrees from the University of Oxford, including an MA, MB.Ch.B, FRCSEd(Ophth), DM, and a Ph.D., as well as a Ph.D. in Computing Applications from Heriot-Watt University (2010-2013).
