Matthieu Lechien

Matthieu Lechien is a highly experienced helicopter pilot with a comprehensive background in various aviation roles. Currently serving as a Senior First Officer at NHV Group since January 2022, Matthieu previously worked as a HEMS Helicopter Pilot at Specialist Aviation Services, flying emergency medical missions across multiple regions. With extensive experience as an Air Ambulance Helicopter Pilot, Matthieu has conducted VFR/IFR missions throughout England, Wales, and Scotland. Previous positions include helicopter pilot roles at Helilagon and Tahiti Helicopters, where Matthieu performed tour flights and medical transfers. Matthieu also holds flight instructor experience, having trained student pilots up to CPL level. Educational qualifications include a master's degree in Social & Military Sciences from the Royal Military Academy, as well as certifications in commercial and instrument flying from Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training and Bristow Academy.
