Joy Skillman

Joy Skillman has a diverse professional background, currently serving as Home Director at NIA Association since August 2017. Prior to this role, Joy worked as a Cashier Customer Service at Walmart from April 2017 to August 2017, where responsibilities included money management and stock duties. Joy held the position of Night Manager/Key Holder at Dollar General from December 2016 to April 2017, supervising a team, managing financial transactions, and overseeing security. Earlier experience includes a role as a Social Service Worker at Del Norte County Department of Human and Social Services from July 2006 to March 2007, and an extensive tenure as a Social Service Worker for the Salvation Army from September 1995 to December 2006. Joy earned degrees in Social and Behavioral Sciences and Computer Applications from Butte College between 2007 and 2014.
