Alex Nearhood

Alex Nearhood currently serves as a School Counselor and Career Coach at Niagara Falls City School District since August 2023. Concurrently, Alex is a Retail Specialist at Verizon, a position held since February 2022. Previous experience includes a supervisory role at Honeymoon Capital Souvenirs from June 2012 to January 2022 and a position as Community Relations Assistant with the Buffalo Sabres for a brief period in 2019. Alex has also contributed as an Americorps Vista at Algonquin Sports for Kids and United Way of Buffalo & Erie County between August 2017 and August 2019, as well as an intern to the Athletic Director at Amherst Central High School in early 2017 and a Sports Intern at Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission in late 2016. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Counselor Education from St. Bonaventure University (2020 - 2023), a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Sports Management from Daemen University (2015 - 2017), and an Associate's degree in Business from Niagara County Community College (2013 - 2015).
