Terry Ricketts

Terry Ricketts, P.Eng. serves as the Commissioner of Public Works for Niagara Region since October 2023, leading the department in delivering inclusive and collaborative public services in transportation, water/wastewater, and waste management. Previously, at the Region of Peel from March 2020 to October 2023, Terry held the position of Director of Transportation, overseeing the Transportation Division and spearheading the development of the transportation master plan. Prior roles include Director of Corporate Asset Management and Environment Services at the City of Richmond Hill from 2010 to March 2020, and Senior Lead for Climate Change Services at Stantec Consulting from 2008 to 2010. Terry's experience also encompasses significant roles at General Motors and Angus Environmental Limited, with a focus on environmental compliance, green technology, and engineering management. Terry obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Guelph and a Masters Certificate in Municipal Leadership from York University.
