Electrical Design Engineer at Niagara Transformer Service

Sergio Salazar is an experienced Electrical Design Engineer currently working at Niagara Power Transformer since January 2023, where responsibilities include the design of electrical transformers up to 650 kV BIL, preparation of manufacturing information, and conducting special calculations such as impulse and short circuit analyses. Prior to this role, Sergio served as an Electrical Engineer at PROLEC GE from December 2007 to January 2023, focusing on researching, developing, and implementing concepts for power transformers using the New Product Introduction (NPI) method. Sergio holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Power Transmission Installation from Tecnológico de Monterrey, completed between 2009 and 2013, and an Electrical Engineering degree from the same institution, obtained from 2001 to 2007.
