Eric Koo

Eric Koo is a data scientist with extensive experience in analytics and data-driven solutions across various industries. Currently employed at Niantic, Inc. since April 2019, Eric previously held positions at Grove Collaborative as Manager of Growth Analytics, where daily demand forecast accuracy was significantly improved, and at Educents as a data scientist, where a recommendation engine was developed resulting in substantial increases in clickthrough and add-to-cart rates. Earlier experience includes roles as a Senior Data Analyst at SpoonRocket, where inventory forecasts reduced food waste, and co-founding ResMaps, a platform for web resumes with analytics features. Eric's career began in data analysis at the University of Michigan's USE Lab and Insight Learning Technology, contributing to data studies and learning module transitions. Eric holds a Master of Science in Information from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Cognitive Science from UCLA.
