J.G. Wijn

Mr. Joop Wijn was appointed to the Supervisory Board in 2021. In addition to his role at NIBC, Mr Wijn is member of the Supervisory Board of a.s.r. and Vice-Chair of the Supervisor Board of Royal Schiphol Group.

Most recently he was Member of the Management Board / Chief Strategy and Risk Officer of Adyen (2017- 2020), Member of the Management Board / CEO Corporate Banking at ABN AMRO Bank (2009-2017) and Senior Executive Vice President at Rabobank (2007-2009). In the period 1998–2007 Mr Wijn held several positions in the Dutch politics, including Minster of Economic Affairs (2006-2007), State Secretary of Finance (2003-2006) and State Secretary of Economic Affairs (2002-2003). Mr Wijn holds a degree in Economics and Law from the University of Amsterdam.
