Reon Baliraj

Reon Baliraj is an experienced professional in the fields of technology and operations, currently serving as the Functional Application Manager for Finance & Risk IT at NIBC Bank since November 2023. Previously, Reon held the role of Global Lead for Technology & Operations at Investec from December 2016 to March 2023, where leadership and stakeholder relationship management significantly contributed to the success of the reconciliation platform. Reon also has a solid background in managing teams and projects, having worked as an Application Development Project Manager and as the Information Technology Application Manager at Nedbank, where the integration of IT applications for insurance brokerage was a key focus. Beginning a career as a Business Analyst at Nedbank provided foundational skills in identifying business needs and proposing strategic solutions. Reon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Informatics from the University of South Africa, a Middle Management Programme certification from GIBS Business School, and an IT qualification from Durban University of Technology.
