Adam Vivian-Smith

Adam Vivian-Smith has held various roles in their work experience. From 1989 to 1994, they worked as a Technical Assistant at Queensland University of Technology. Adam then joined CSIRO as a Research Assistant from 1990 to 1994. In 1995, they worked as a Research Assistant at ForBio Research. From 2000 to 2002, they were a Post-doctoral Researcher at CSIRO. Adam then transitioned to Leiden University, where they held the position of Post-doctoral Fellow from 2002 to 2009. During this time, they also worked as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Institute Biology Leiden (IBL). In 2010, they joined NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research as a Senior Consultant and later became a Researcher. Since 2011, they have been working as a Scientist at Norwegian Forest and Landscape Institute.

Adam Vivian-Smith received their education in a variety of institutions. Adam started their academic journey at Gregory Terrace from 1980 to 1987. After that, they attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1988 to 1989. Adam obtained an Associate Diploma in Applied Biology during this time. Adam then proceeded to The University of Queensland, where they completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Botany, Biochemistry, and Microbiology from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued further studies at The University of Queensland and obtained a B.Sc. Honours (Class 1a) degree in Botany from 1994 to 1995. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Genetics from the University of Adelaide, studying between 1996 and 2001.
