Johan Johansen

Johan Johansen has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Johan most recently served as the Head of Research at NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research, starting in January 2022. Prior to that, they were the Department Manager at the same institute from November 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining NIBIO, Johan worked as the Chief Executive Officer at Gildaskali AS, starting in June 2020. Previously, they served as the CEO of Salten Havbrukspark (Salten Aquaculture Park) from September 2017 to May 2020.

Johan has also gained considerable experience as the R&D Manager at GIFAS, where they worked from October 1998 to September 2017. Throughout their career, they have displayed leadership skills and expertise in research, development, and management in various industries.

Johan Johansen attended Nord University from 1990 to 1992, where they studied aquaculture. Following this, they enrolled at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway and pursued a PhD degree in aquaculture and fish physiology from 1992 to 1999.
