Michael W. Zach

Michael W. Zach has extensive experience in the field of information security, currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer at nic.at GmbH since 2016. Prior to this role, Michael held positions at Eversheds Sutherland Austria as Head of IT & Security and IT & Security Consultant from 1997 to 2023. Academic involvement includes work as a Project Associate at the University of Vienna from 2017 to 2019. Michael is also a co-founder and CTO of HoneySide Web+Design Agency, with a background in cyber security and knowledge engineering as a self-employed professional. Additional roles include Lead Developer & Consultant at Semantic Web Company and various positions in software development and consulting. Educational achievements encompass multiple degrees in biology, ecology, information management and security, and computer sciences from institutions including the University of Vienna and FH Technikum Wien.
