Nik de Brabanter

Nik De Brabanter is a Forensic Toxicologist at NICC/INCC since August 2025, with prior experience as a Scientist in Laboratory Medicine at AZ Delta from May 2021 to August 2025, focusing on laboratory operations and clinical toxicology. Nik served as Lab Manager at Cerba HealthCare Belgium from May 2018 to May 2021 and worked as a Scientific Expert in Toxicology at CERBA HEALTHCARE from March 2016 to May 2021, specializing in clinical toxicology and occupational medicine. Previous roles include Clinical Chemist at UZ Brussel, overseeing clinical toxicology and metabolic disorder diagnostics from August 2013 to February 2016, and PhD student at Ghent University and DoCoLab from September 2009 to July 2013. Academically, Nik holds a Doctor in Medical Sciences and an MSc in Chemistry from Ghent University, as well as additional education from CVO Panta Rhei de Avondschool.
