David Mattens

David Mattens has extensive experience in project management and technical fields with a career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Project Manager at Nichols Brothers Boat Builders since December 2012, David oversees projects, including two Kirby ABTs. Prior experience includes roles as a Journeyman Fitter and Ship Fitter Apprentice, coupled with time as a Consultant and Graduate after completing a post-baccalaureate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Penn State University. David's earlier positions include Assessor for Island County, Faculty at Shoreline Community College, and a Commissioned Officer in the NOAA Corps, where responsibilities ranged from operations management to educational initiatives. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Michigan Technological University and additional training in Database Management from the University of Washington.
