Sushil Lakshmanan

Sushil Lakshmanan is a Quality Engineer at Nichols Portland since August 2021, responsible for guiding plant quality objectives and designing gages to enhance product functionality and ergonomics. Previously, Sushil served as a Research Assistant at the University at Buffalo, optimizing printing processes for porous ceramics and resolving quality issues through material and process adjustments. Additionally, Sushil has experience as a Teaching Assistant for a Sustainable Manufacturing course. Earlier roles include serving as a Quality Control Engineer at IM Gears Pvt. Ltd., where significant scrap reduction was achieved through Lean methodologies, and as an intern at TVS Srichakra Limited, where process improvements resulted in substantial cost savings. Sushil holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University at Buffalo and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University Chennai.
