Fernando Perez-Hickman is the current Director at Nicklaus Children’s Health System. Before taking on this role, Fernando was the Vice Chairman, Director of Corporate Strategy at IBERIABANK from August 2017 to July 2020. Prior to that, Fernando was with Banco Sabadell as their Director General, America & Global Corporate Banking from June 2007 to August 2017 and also served as the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors during that time. Fernando started their career in the Financial Services industry in 1998 as Chief Executive Officer of Banco Central Fernando'spano USA, New York City, until its integration into Banco Santander International, Miami, after the merger of Banco Santander and Banco Central Fernando'spano. From there they became the Managing Director of Santander Private Banking International from June 1998 to June 2007. Fernando then left the financial services industry for a brief period to work as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company from June 1994 to June 1998. Fernando began their career at McKinsey & Company as a Business Analyst from February 1991 to June 1992.
Fernando Perez-Hickman has a Master of Science in Management from MIT Sloan School of Management with a focus in finance and systems dynamics. Fernando also has a Bachelor Degree in Business from Universitat d'Alacant with a business administration focus.
