Siobhan Garbutt

Siobhan Garbutt has a strong background in clinical development, clinical operations, and clinical research. Siobhan is currently working as the Vice President and Head of Clinical Development at Nicox since 2022. Before joining Nicox, they were the Senior Director and Head of Clinical Operations at Santen from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they held positions at Lexitas Pharma Services, Inc., where they served as the Director of Clinical Studies and Therapeutic Area Head for Retina from 2020 to 2020, and as an Associate Director of Clinical Studies from 2016 to 2020. Siobhan also worked at Alcon, a Novartis company, from 2010 to 2016, where they held roles such as Senior Clinical Trial Manager and Clinical Site Manager. Siobhan started their career as a Clinical Research Associate at Quintiles in 2008. Prior to joining Quintiles, Siobhan worked as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at Northwestern University from 2007 to 2008.

Siobhan Garbutt obtained a B.Sc. in Orthoptics from the University of Liverpool from 1992 to 1995. Following this, they attended UCL from 1996 to 2002 and earned a Ph.D. in Ophthalmology.
