Gloria is a clinical and research neuropsychologist with expertise in infancy, prematurity and high-risk birth as well as learning disabilities though school age and adolescence.
She is a member of the Neurobehavioral Infant and Child Studies laboratory serving as research collaborator and co-director with Dr. Heidelise Als and Senior Developmental Care Educator of the National NIDCAP Training Center – Boston.
Her research career, spanning 40 years, has focused on the evaluation and dissemination of the NIDCAP framework and the infant diagnostic assessment tool- APIB (Assessment of Preterm Infants’ Behavior), yielding over 25 publications from 20 funded research studies.
Gloria was instrumental in establishing the NFI corporate identity, developing the By-Laws, Articles of Incorporation and Intellectual Property guidelines. She has been a Director and Officer on the NFI Board serving as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair since the NFI’s founding in 2001 and contributing as member of multiple committees.
