Valter Taranzano

Valter Taranzano is the Executive General Manager of the Appliance Commercial & Industrial Motor Business Unit at Nidec. Valter has held this position since March 2014.

Prior to their current role, Taranzano served as the President & CEO of Nidec Sole Motor Corporation from January 2013 to March 2014. Valter was also a Member of Board and Restructuring Executive Director at various companies from January 2010 to December 2012.

From 2007 to 2010, Taranzano was with EIM - Executive Interim Management as a member of the team. Valter served as President & CEO of ACC - Appliance Components Companies from 2002 to 2007 and as President & CEO Emerson Appliance Motor and Control EMEA at Emerson from 2000 to 2002.

Earlier in their career, Taranzano was the President & CEO (Ceset Italy and Emerson Slovakia) at Emerson from 1998 to 2000. Valter also served as the Assistant to the President (Electrolux Components Companies) at Electrolux from 1994 to 1998 and as the General Manager - Compressors Division at Electrolux from 1989 to 1994. Taranzano began their career as a Plant Manager at SKF in 1985.

Valter Taranzano has a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from Politecnico di Torino and a Master for Executives from SDA Bocconi.

They are on a team with Toru Takahashi - General Manager of Global Business Promotion & Marketing Division, Kuniyasu Tampo - SVP & Deputy Executive GM of Small Precision Motor & Solutions Business Unit, and Tomonori Seta - SVP, Trade, Administration, Legal & Compliance. Valter Taranzano reports to Shigenobu Nagamori, Chairman, Representative Director & CEO.
