Thomas Insel

Thomas Insel is currently the Senior Director of Architecture at Nielsen, a position they have held since 2020. Previously, they worked at Gracenote, where they held several roles including Manager of Unix Systems and Director of Operations from 2005 to 2010. Insel also served as a Graduate Student Instructor and Programmer Analyst II at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1995 to 1998. They contributed to Y2K contract work at MSCI Inc. in 1999 and were the Director of Technology at Nielsen from 2017 to 2018. Insel earned a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and furthered their education in Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley.
