Suraj Rao

Suraj Rao has extensive work experience in data science and analytics. Suraj started their career in 1997 as a System Analyst/Programmer and later progressed to roles such as Lead Analyst, Senior Lead Analyst, and Manager of Advanced Analytics in India. In 2010, they became a Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics and in 2012, they became an Associate Director of Advanced Analytics in India. From 2015 to 2020, Suraj worked as an Associate Director of Data Science Product Enhancements in the UAE, NAL, and Africa regions. In 2020, they joined NielsenIQ as the Director of Data Science Lead in Indonesia.

Suraj Rao holds a Master of Commerce (Mcom) degree in Accounting from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, which they completed from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accountancy from the same university from 1995 to 1997. Suraj completed their high school education at Basil School from 1993 to 1995. Their earlier educational background includes attending SABARI VIDYALAYA from 1980 to 1993. Suraj has also acquired various certifications, including courses on Power BI, Salesforce to Dynamics 365 migration, Excel data analysis, Python data cleaning and analysis, and data engineering on GCP.
