Jos Thommassen

Jos Thommassen is an experienced artist and educator with a diverse background in illustration and teaching. Currently serving as a tekenaar at Stichting Gezond Verstand since September 2020, Jos also works as a tekendocent at Nieuwe Veste Breda since January 2001, providing unique drawing courses influenced by personal artistic practice. A freelance illustrator since 1992, Jos has collaborated with various publications, including Reader's Digest and NRC, and has contributed to school materials and the Gezond Verstand magazine. Past teaching roles include positions at Segbroek College and Kellebeek ISK Breda, focusing on creative subjects and drawing. Jos Thommassen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Monumentale vormgeving, tekenen, schilderen from Kunstacademie St. Joost and a docent beeldende vorming degree from Fontys Hogeschool Tilburg.
