Albert Molderink

Albert Molderink serves as the Head of Smart Grid R&D at NieuweStroom since March 2019, focusing on innovative market models and smart trading for the energy sector. Molderink has a diverse career in energy and technology, previously holding roles such as Day Ahead and Intraday Energy Trader and ICT Manager at NieuweStroom, and CTO at Ipsum Energy, where efforts centered on energy consumption awareness. In academia, Molderink has been a Team Lead at the University of Twente, contributing as an Assistant Professor and researcher on mathematical optimizations for energy efficiency. Molderink holds a PhD in Smart Grids and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Twente, supporting a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical aspects of energy systems.
