Shiv Kapoor

Shiv Kapoor is the founder and CEO of Nifty Technologies, Inc., a mobile app development and digital design studio located in New York City. Shiv has over 15 years of experience in the tech industry, and has founded or co-founded several successful startups.

Kapoor was born in India and moved to the United States as a young man to attend college. Shiv earned a degree in computer science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and later went on to get an MBA from Columbia Business School.

After graduation, Kapoor worked as a software engineer for a few years before moving into management and entrepreneurship. In 2005, they co-founded Creative360 LLC, a mobile app development studio. Shiv served as the company's CEO and Mobile Architect for seven years, during which time Creative360 became one of the leading app development studios in New York City.

In 2012, Kapoor founded NameTrips.com, a tech company focused on making online travel better and more affordable. NameTrips searches hundreds of travel websites to find the cheapest hotels, flights, and car rentals, in one fast and intuitive display. The company was acquired by Expedia in 2015.

Kapoor is also the founding editor of Spotsify, a music streaming service for independent artists. Shiv has served on the advisory board of KOALA Venture Group, and is currently a mentor at Techstars NYC.

Shiv Kapoor graduated from the State University of New York College at Old Westbury with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Science.
