Game Developer at Night Zookeeper

Brendan Cheung began their career in 2015 as a BAFTA YGD Nominee, where they placed top 3 out of 5000+ entries and had to come up with their own unique idea for a game and develop it from scratch. In 2016, they joined Marmalade Game Studio as a Game Tester, where they played test games, wrote reviews and provided feedback, and developed their own game using Unity. In 2018, they joined Big Radical as a Research Assistant, where they conducted research into sleep, designed and created databases, and created a campaign to raise awareness and help improve people's sleep. In 2022, they joined Night Zookeeper as a Graduate Game Developer, and also joined BAFTA as a BAFTA YGD Alumni Guest Speaker. For BAFTA Games: Level One, they went on stage with Joshua Davidson to present their new NightZookeeper game they had been working on. Brendan gave an introductory speech about their new role as a game developer and what a joy it had been, and they also invited audience members to playtest their new game before and after the talks.

Brendan Cheung has a comprehensive education history. Brendan began their studies at Little Ilford School in 2012, where they completed GCSEs. In 2017, they attended Six 21, where they obtained A Levels in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics. Currently, they are studying at the University of Greenwich, where they are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Games Design and Development (Programming).
