Laboratory Director at Japan lab at Nightingale Health

Machiko Usui has a strong background in laboratory management and medical technology. MACHIKO most recently served as the Laboratory Director at Nightingale Health in Japan starting in November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Sekisui Medical Co., Ltd. as a Research and Development Project Manager from April 2018 to October 2020.

Before joining Nightingale Health and Sekisui Medical, Machiko worked at Japan Green Clinic Singapore as a Medical Technologist and Medical Coordinator from August 2012 to August 2017. Machiko began their career as a Medical Technologist at a hospital in Japan, where they worked from April 2002 to September 2009. In this role, they performed a wide range of laboratory duties, including analysis of patient samples, reporting results, and performing quality control.

Machiko Usui has a diverse education history. From 1999 to 2002, they attended Fujita Health University, where they earned a degree in Hematology and Technological Science. In 2014 and 2015, they pursued a Specialist Diploma in Microbiology at Singapore Polytechnic. Later, from 2016 to 2018, they pursued a Master of Health Services Management at Griffith University. Furthermore, Machiko Usui has obtained several additional certifications, including MLT(ASCPi) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) in November 2015 and a Point of Care Specialist Certificate from the American Association for Clinical Chemistry in June 2015. MACHIKO also holds a National Registered Medical Technologist certification from 2002.
