Vesa Aalto

Vesa Aalto has held two work positions. From September 2018 onwards, Vesa worked at Nightingale Health Ltd. as a Laboratory Specialist. In this role, their main responsibilities included equipment maintenance, programming of automated liquid handler protocols, quality control for spectral data, and NMR spectrometer maintenance and calibration. Vesa also participated in various other laboratory tasks.

Prior to their role at Nightingale Health Ltd., Vesa worked at Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitos (THL) from April 2014 until August 2018. In this position, they served as a Research Analyst in the THL Biobank. Vesa'sprimary tasks involved laboratory work, specifically in extracting and aliquoting Biobank DNA samples. Additionally, they supported various other tasks in the laboratory.

Vesa Aalto attended Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a degree in Laboratory analysis. In terms of additional certifications, Vesa obtained the certification "Hyvän laboratoriotoiminnan tunnuspiirteet lääkinnällisessä laboratoriossa - SFS-EN ISO 15189:2013" from FINAS-akkreditointipalvelu in January 2020. Vesa also completed the "Laboratoriojätteen syventävä koulutus" at Fortum in December 2019, the "WinPrep for Janus" certification at PerkinElmer, Inc. in October 2019, and the "Bioturvakurssi" at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) in January 2019.
